CO₂ FRACTIONAL RESURFACING

This is next-level skin transformation.

CO₂ fractional resurfacing is one of the most powerful non-surgical treatments available for true skin remodeling. It uses targeted carbon dioxide laser energy to remove damaged outer layers of skin while stimulating deep collagen production beneath the surface.

We resurface. We rebuild. We renew.

CO₂ is ideal for:

Unlike lighter treatments, CO₂ fractional resurfacing delivers dramatic correction. There is downtime — because this is real resurfacing — but the results are transformative.

Over the following months, collagen continues to rebuild, revealing smoother, tighter, brighter skin.

CO₂ FRACTIONAL RESURFACING FAQ's

CO₂ Fractional Resurfacing is a powerful laser treatment designed to deeply rejuvenate the skin. It works by delivering columns of laser energy into the skin, creating microscopic treatment zones while leaving the surrounding tissue intact. This process triggers a robust healing response, stimulating the production of new collagen and replacing old, damaged skin cells with fresh, healthy tissue for a dramatically smoother and firmer complexion.

This treatment is considered the gold standard for treating more advanced skin concerns. It is highly effective at reducing deep wrinkles, fine lines, and significant sun damage or “age spots.” Additionally, CO₂ resurfacing is excellent for improving the appearance of surgical or acne scars and tightening lax skin, particularly around the eyes and jawline, providing a comprehensive “reset” for your skin’s texture and tone.

Because this is a deeper resurfacing treatment, you can expect a healing period of approximately 5 to 10 days, depending on the intensity of the session. Initially, the skin will feel like a significant sunburn and may involve redness, swelling, and subsequent peeling. Following my specific post-care regimen—which includes heavy hydration and strict sun avoidance—is essential to ensure the skin heals perfectly and reveals your most radiant results.

Before Your CO₂ Treatment:

  1. Minimize Bleeding Risks: Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, or other blood thinners for a week before your appointment to keep bruising and pinpoint bleeding to a minimum. *Before discontinuing any medications, please consult your physician to ensure it’s safe and appropriate for your health.

  2. Reduce Post-Laser Swelling: It’s a good idea to skip alcohol 24 hours before your treatment to help manage the inflammatory response and reduce post-laser swelling.

  3. Internal Hydration: Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water leading up to your session—well-hydrated cells recover much faster from thermal laser energy.

  4. Disclose Medical History: Let your provider know about any history of cold sores (antivirals may be needed), active skin infections, or medications like Accutane. This ensures a safe and effective laser setting.

  5. Clear Your Active Topicals: Stop using retinoids, glycolic acids, or any harsh exfoliating products for 7 days prior to your treatment to ensure your skin barrier is stable and ready for resurfacing.

After Your CO₂ Treatment:

  1. Protective Barrier: Do not touch, pick, or scrub the treated skin as it begins to peel or crust. Keeping your hands off prevents scarring and ensures the new skin underneath heals perfectly.

  2. Sleep Elevated: Keep your head elevated with extra pillows for the first 48 hours to help reduce the significant swelling that often follows fractional resurfacing.

  3. Avoid Physical Strain: Skip intense workouts or heavy lifting for at least 3–5 days. Increased blood flow and sweat can interfere with the delicate healing of the laser-treated channels.

  4. Strict Environmental Control: Avoid saunas, hot showers, and absolutely avoid direct sun exposure for at least 2 weeks. Your new skin is extremely vulnerable to UV damage and heat during this phase.

  5. Diligent Aftercare: Follow the specific vinegar soaks or ointment applications provided by your specialist. Check in with your provider if you have any questions during your skin’s transformation process.
